Cold water surf company Finisterre invited James to speak at their flagship London store, and to run some "Make Your Own" bodysurfing handplane workshops in store the following day. The event sold out on two consecutive nights.
In October 2015 11x European longboard champion Ben Skinner paddled into some huge waves at the Cribbar on a wooden surfboard commissioned by Surfers Against Sewage to demonstrate the performance possibilities of sustainable materials.

A special surfboard commissioned by the National Trust to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Neptune Coastline Campaign, and built using timber harvested from a storm damaged Cupressus Macrocarpa tree that was felled on their Trelissick Estate, Cornwall.
