6’10” Jetty

Description

The Jetty is perhaps the most recognisable surfboard in the Otter Surfboards range: A 6’10” “egg” style shape that takes the best characteristics of longboard design and transplants them onto a shorter board for easier manouevrebility. With the round nose and wider plan shape of a longboard, the Jetty paddles well and catches waves easier but allows for tighter surfing in the pocket and can be turned a great deal easier.

6’10” x 21½” x 2⅝” – 43.8 l

Designed and best ridden as a single fin.

From £3,600.00

One of the earliest shapes that we created, the Jetty was designed with two types of surfer in mind. The shortboarder looking for a bigger board for the days where the waves aren’t really up to much but they still want to enjoy the ocean, or the longboarder who is looking for something smaller and more manouverable that still catches plenty of waves and can be paddled out into some bigger waves too.

With it’s low rocker line, fuller template and refined volume distribution, this surfboard works well in a huge range of conditions and as a result has become one of our most popular shapes. Suited to the beginner looking to make progress in their surfing as much as the intermediate to expert looking for a board to have fun with.

A flat bottom contour with ‘V’ out the tail aids it’s planing speed and rail to rail transitions making it an easy and delightful board to catch waves on.
